Holly Brandborg
Holly opened FOX + STONE in Corte Madera in 2004. Since then she has relocated to beautiful downtown San Anselmo and opened her second location in her beloved hometown of Fairfax. As the owner of FOX + STONE Salon, Holly is focused on ensuring a pleasant and satisfying experience for every client who walks through the door. Creative, technical and great at interpreting her clients’ goals, Holly is renowned for complementing clients’ personalities and lifestyles.
Her inspirations include Vidal Sassoon, high fashion, interior design, photography, art, music and modern bohemian styles. Holly is both Vidal Sassoon and Bumble and Bumble trained, and stays current through research and advanced training throughout the year. She specializes in highlighting, multi-dimensional color and creative cutting and styling.
Hannah Lichtenstein
Hannah grew up in West Marin, in a household of artists, before finding her professional creative niche in the world of haircutting. She spent 12 years in NYC honing her craft through higher education in Toni & Guy and Bumble and Bumble techniques, utilizing both shear and razor cutting. She has earned accolades in Allure Magazine National “Best of” Directory and spent her time in NY drawing inspiration from the eclectic, vibrant and cultural mecca that saturates the city.
She holds the belief that understanding her clients holistically– lifestyle, routine and vision– will identify their priorities, satisfy their multifaceted needs and build rapport for long lasting relationships. She specializes in big curly cuts, shaggy shapes and easy grow outs and enjoys using her creativity and experience to sculpt something personal and unique for each client. To Hannah, haircutting is an extension of the art she makes on her time away from the salon, where she likes to paint, thrift, swim and explore new creative outlets.
Arbor McCauley
Arbor is an accomplished hair stylist who prides herself on continuous education.
She loves to create effortless lived in looks for easy at home styling for her clients who want to embrace and enhance their natural texture, also specializing in highlights, root shadowing and balayage of all types. She is one of those select stylists who will give you beautiful color, finished with an expert cut.
Arbor’s attention to detail and ability to listen to her clients during consultation allows her to provide exactly what they are looking for.
While her passion is focused on continued education and creating beautiful hair, Arbor spends her free time living a well-balanced life. She loves spending time in nature, meditating and practicing yoga. Her easygoing and sweet personality brings a relaxed and calm presence to the salon.
Sarah Smith
Sarah Smith moved to San Francisco in 1999 and started her hair journey in 2003. She has been working with most of her clients for twenty years and counting. Along the way she worked behind the chair at Edo Salon for 6 years as their Bumble and Bumble network educator. She trained extensively at B&B in New York, mastering straight razor cutting and honing her skills. Her other education includes one on one training with Nick Arrojo and Pony Education.
Sarah is a great communicator and prides herself on being able to interpret and understand the immediate desires of her clients as well as their future hair visions. She meets every appointment with intention and thoughtful consideration. She believes the look that walks out the door is just as important as what it will grow into. She loves organic effortless hair, creating fresh natural colors, taming and shaping curls in addition to precision bowls and bobs. She loves mens grooming as well and is known for her efficient timing. A true Virgo. She is now bringing her decades of experience in the hip salons of San Francisco to Marin.
When she’s not behind the chair, Sarah is working on house renovation projects and helps her husband run his independent record label. She’s very excited about exploring Marin beaches and trails with her dog Frankie. She loves embroidering, puzzling and making yummy food in the kitchen.
Mandy Hemminger
Mandy started her career in the beauty industry in 2005. She moved from Chicago to Southern California in 2016 to work and learn from some of the most talented and well respected hairstylists in the industry. Since then she has worked many large events including fashion week, beauty shows, and creative projects for film and editorial shoots. Her specialties include but are not limited to, razor hair cutting and lived in color. Her passion for styling began as a very young child, and her favorite part of it all is making people look and feel good inside and out, and for them to feel like their true selves.
Mandy finds inspiration through vintage clothing and music. She is a true artist. Getting to know her clients style and personality is important to her, as it plays an important role to the style of their hair. She loves to create styles that are fun and easy to maintain.
On her off time she enjoys spending time with her dog and cat, and taking little road-trips exploring the beautiful gems of California.
Kristina Tringali
Kristina is a native to Marin County that doesn’t plan on going anywhere. As a well-rounded stylist, she feels strongly about seeing each client as an individual that has their own custom tailored look.
Kristina is passionate in staying up to date with the latest techniques and trends with Vidal Sassoon Training, and other reportable educators.
With strong attention to detail & design, Kristina uses strategic color placement, root smudge & toner techniques as well as grey blending to create some of her favorite looks. Always finishing with precision from current bob styles to soft flowing long layered haircuts.

Hillary Whitman
Hillary has come to appreciate the unique qualities that make each individual beautiful and strives to enhance them. While her skills are varied and extensive, Hillary loves to create realistic and low-maintenance looks for her clients so they can achieve beautiful hair on their own. She specializes face-framing balayage, rich brunettes and beautiful, dimensional blondes, along with scissor and razor cuts for all hair types (including men).
Hillary is Sassoon,Bumble and bumble and pony educated and is also a second generation stylist.
Karina Ascencio
Karina is a Marin County native. She brings out the beauty she sees in others. From natural balayage to color correction, she’s their to make your dream hair come true. She has worked with many different hair types from dark coarse hair to fine blonde hair, she does it all. She continues to keep up with the most current hair trends by attending many different educational classes throughout the year. Karina specializes in balayage, color correction, Keratin, barbering cuts and Invisible Bead Extensions. She’s passionate, creative and loves what she does. Spending time in Karina’s chair is always a pleasurable experience and you are guaranteed to leave feeling your best.
